Korea's AI Fabs Need Acid, and Korea Zinc Just Added 40,000 Tonnes
Two new lines at Onsan lift semiconductor-grade sulfuric acid capacity from 280,000 to 320,000 tonnes a year. One smelter supplies over 60% of Korean demand, and 95% of its output goes to Korean chipmakers.
