Google Cloud announced that Antigravity, its agentic development tool, is now included in eligible Gemini Enterprise app subscriptions rather than sold as a separate add-on. Administrators can enable Antigravity and Android Studio for users on Gemini Enterprise Standard, Plus and Standard Emerging Market licences, with spend, security, observability and usage metrics consolidated in the Gemini Enterprise admin console. New IDE extensions let developers run Antigravity inside editors of their choice, including VS Code.

The billing mechanics

Three controls are described. Granular spend thresholds: monthly project-level budget caps set directly in the Billing console. Pooled quotas: shared token pools so purchased quota does not sit idle in one team while another runs short. Overage enablement: administrators can allow spending past a pooled quota so developer workflows do not stop dead when the pool empties.

What the common framing gets wrong

The post is being read as "enterprise controls have shipped." Read the sentence again: project-level caps are available in the Billing console, but per-user and team controls are "rolling out later this year" — and per-user is the control that matters when the thing being metered is an agent that can burn tokens unattended. A project-level cap tells you the whole project has stopped; it does not tell you which developer's agent consumed the budget, or stop them before it does. The second misreading is "free": the tool is bundled into a subscription, not given away, and overage enablement exists specifically because pooled quotas run out.

The strategic move

Bundling matters more than the features. Antigravity previously competed on its own merits against Cursor, Copilot and Claude Code, each bought on a separate line item with its own invoice and security review. Folding it into a licence an enterprise already holds changes the purchasing question from "is this the best agent" to "is this good enough given we already pay for it." That is a distribution argument, and it is the one Microsoft has used successfully with Copilot.
